Bio

Mr. Jones earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati and received his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. After graduating from law school Mr. Jones worked for the Sarasota, Florida law firm Icard, Merrell, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg where he practiced general civil litigation and estate planning. After two years of practicing law, Mr. Jones attended Georgetown University Law Center, one of the nation’s leading programs for the advanced study of tax law, where he received his Master of Laws in Taxation with distinction.

Mr. Jones joined Giles & Robinson, P.A. in 2000. He is a Shareholder in the firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, federal taxation, and qualified domestic relations orders (QDROs). Mr. Jones is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He was voted one of Orlando’s “Top Attorneys” by Orlando Home & Leisure Magazine and is the current President of the Central Florida Estate Planning Council. Mr. Jones is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Tax Court, the Internal Revenue Service and all Florida Courts. Mr. Jones’ professional memberships include The Florida Bar, The Orange County Bar Association, the Central Florida Estate Planning Council – Past President, and Estate Planning Discussion Group (former Chairman). In his spare time Mr. Jones enjoys cheering for his favorite sports teams (Orlando Magic and Syracuse), exercising, bicycling with his dogs and spending time with his family.
